Based in Athens, Houra runs FurnishForwards, a studio built around three things she does well and keeps deliberately connected. She designs original furniture, developing pieces from first sketch through to fabrication, rooted in material research, proportion and the kind of architectural thinking that comes from years of training in how space actually works. Each piece is built to last and meant to mean something.
She also represents international design manufacturers in the Greek market, acting as the local face of brands that produce quality work and need someone on the ground who understands both the product and the people buying it. That is where the design background earns its place commercially. When she walks into a hotel or a restaurant, she is not reading from a catalogue. She is reading the space.
And for buyers who need help on their end, she consults. Hotels, restaurants, architects and developers who want to source the right furniture but do not know where to start come to her for exactly that: honest advice on what fits, what lasts, and where to get it. No agenda other than getting it right.
